Sustainability: KEEP OUR PROJECT GOING
The WW2 Memorial was funded almost entirely by private contributions, specifically, “hundreds of thousands of individual Americans, hundreds of corporations and foundations, Veteran groups, dozen of civic, fraternal and professional organizations, states and one territory, and students in 1200 schools across the country.”
Corporate Sponsorship
We are seeking the sponsorship of small and large Oregon-operating businesses. The American Legion boasts sponsors such as Sears and Apple.
Like the government sponsorships, corporate sponsors will be visible as sponsors on the site, programs, banners, posters, brochures and other media.
Private Donations
Private sponsors agree to promote the project by providing outreach to the public. This can be accomplished by distributing or reproducing promotional materials and packets, contacting potential contributors, providing or lending equipment, directly funding aspects of the project, funding campaign and advertising and hosting fundraisers.
Assisting Veterans in preparing their contribution packets such as scanning images or recording or typing in their hand-written stories or journals or providing technology is also a valuable contribution. Please contact us and we can pair you with a veteran.
Government Sponsorship
The Missouri Veteran Stories project was funded by the Missouri State Legislature and spearheaded by Lt. Governor Peter Kinder. Government sponsors will be visible as sponsors on the site, banner, posters and brochures and other media.
